Building control
Building control promotes, guides and supervises the creation and preservation of high-quality building stock and a pleasant environment, and ensures that the provisions and regulations of the Land Use and Building Act are complied with. The office serves the city residents and ensures that public interest is taken into consideration in these matters. In practice, work done at the office focuses on advance guidance and advice.
Electronic application for a permit
Permits related to building and construction are applied for electronically through the Lupapiste service. You can also submit requests for advice on future projects through the service.

Opening hours
- The office of building control is open on weekdays from 9:00 to 15:00.
- Building inspectors are available during the office hours as indicated on the contact cards. At other times, they can be reached by telephone or e-mail.
