Jämsä has facilities for young people in four different areas: Seppola, Jämsänkoski, Halli and Länkipohja. The facilities are mainly intended for young people aged 13–17. Some of the facilities for young people also have night cafés.
The facilities offer young people an opportunity to meet each other, read magazines and play games.
Youth Centre Nuorten Raitti
The youth centre Nuorten Raitti is located in connection with Jämsä Central Library. The youth centre has a pool table, games, karaoke equipment and other enjoyable activities.
The entrance is in the back yard of Forum.
Youth Café Köpis
Youth Café Köpis is a facility for young people, located in the urban area of Jämsänkoski. In Köpis, you can meet friends and have a cup of coffee, play games (such as billiards, table tennis, PS4), listen to music and watch TV.
Facilities for band rehearsals
There are two facilities for band rehearsals available for rent in connection with Köpis. One of them includes basic audio devices, drums and a keyboard. This space is rented out on a rotational basis.
The other space is empty, and the band can bring their own instruments. This space is rented out to one band at a time to avoid the need to carry the instruments back and forth.
Länkipohja Youth Centre
Länkipohja Youth Centre is run by the locals in Kylätila. The facility is intended for people aged 11 to 17.
Youth Centre Kuutti
Kuutti is a place for young people to meet up and spend time together in the Halli area. There, you can meet friends, listen to music and play games.
